We prioritize original reporting based on primary sources including official platform announcements from DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, JioSaavn, Amazon Music), government notifications and legal documents, court orders and regulatory filings, direct statements from industry bodies (IMI, IFPI, IPRS, PPL), original data from our platform serving 10,000+ music tracks, and direct interviews with artists, labels, and industry professionals.
Secondary Sources
When using secondary sources, we verify the information against at least one additional independent source before publication. We attribute all secondary sources clearly and provide links where available. We do not republish syndicated content without adding original analysis, context, or commentary.
Anonymous Sources
We use anonymous sources only when the information is of significant public interest, cannot be obtained through on-the-record sources, and the source has a credible basis for requesting anonymity. All articles relying on anonymous sources are reviewed by our editor before publication.
