This Pricing & Payment Policy (“Policy”) outlines the charges, billing terms, payment methods, royalty payouts, refund conditions, and tax obligations applicable to your use of SwaLay Digital's platform and services. By making a purchase or using any paid feature on the Platform, you agree to the terms described in this Policy.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Content Declaration, Content Distribution Policy, Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy, Royalty Sharing Policy, and Privacy Policy, all available on our websites at https://swalay.in, https://swalay.com, https://swalay.talantoncore.in, and https://swalayplus.in.
1. Pricing Structure
SwaLay Digital offers a flexible pricing model designed to support independent artists, labels, and music professionals at every stage of their journey. Our pricing structure includes:
- Subscription Plans: Recurring plans (monthly or annual) that provide access to distribution, analytics, royalty collection, and platform tools based on the tier selected.
- One-Time Distribution Fees: Pay-per-release options for users who prefer not to subscribe. These fees cover the cost of delivering Content to Digital Service Providers (DSPs).
- Add-On Services: Optional paid features such as SwaLay Studio audio processing, priority delivery, caller tune distribution, Content ID registration, and promotional tools.
- Commission-Based Revenue Share: A percentage-based commission on royalties collected through DSPs, as detailed in your selected plan and our Royalty Sharing Policy.
All prices are listed on the Platform in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. SwaLay reserves the right to update pricing at any time, subject to notice as described in Section 8.
2. Service Plans
SwaLay offers multiple service tiers to accommodate artists and labels of varying sizes and needs. Current plans may include, but are not limited to:
- Free Plan: Basic access to the Platform with limited distribution features, standard delivery timelines, and a higher royalty commission rate retained by SwaLay.
- Pro Plan: Enhanced distribution capabilities, priority delivery, access to analytics, lower commission rates, and additional tools.
- Label Plan: Full-featured access designed for record labels managing multiple artists, including bulk distribution, sub-label management, and dedicated support.
- Enterprise / Custom Plans: Tailored pricing and features for large catalogues, established labels, or organizations with specific distribution needs. Contact us for a custom quote.
Plan features, pricing, and commission rates are detailed on the Platform's pricing page and may be updated periodically. Upgrades and downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle unless otherwise specified.
3. Add-On Services
In addition to plan-based features, SwaLay offers the following paid add-on services:
- SwaLay Studio Mastering & Mixing: AI-powered and professionally supervised audio mastering and mixing services, billed per track or per project.
- Spatial Audio (Dolby™ Atmos) Conversion: Conversion of stereo tracks to immersive spatial audio formats.
- Priority / Express Delivery: Expedited delivery of releases to DSPs, typically within 24–48 hours.
- Caller Tune (CRBT) Distribution: Distribution of tracks as caller ring-back tones to Indian telecom operators.
- YouTube Content ID Registration: Registration and monetization setup for tracks in YouTube's Content ID system.
- Lyrics Distribution: Synchronization and delivery of lyrics to supported streaming platforms.
- Video Distribution: Distribution of official music videos to video-supported DSPs.
- Promotional Tools: Smart links, pre-save campaigns, and promotional landing pages.
Add-on pricing is displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase. All add-on purchases are subject to the refund terms described in Section 6.
4. Payment Methods & Processing
SwaLay accepts payments through the following methods:
- UPI: Unified Payments Interface (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and others).
- Debit / Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, and other major card networks.
- Net Banking: Online bank transfers through supported Indian banks.
- Wallets: Digital wallets supported by our payment gateway partner.
- International Payments: Where supported, international cards and payment methods may be accepted.
All payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways. SwaLay does not store your full payment card details on its servers.
By making a payment, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable payment processor in addition to this Policy. Payment confirmation is sent to your registered email address upon successful processing.
5. Billing, Invoices & Taxes
5.1 Billing Cycle: Subscription fees are billed at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on your plan). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.
5.2 Invoices: A GST-compliant invoice will be generated for every payment made on the Platform. Invoices are available for download from your account dashboard. For enterprise or label customers, custom invoicing arrangements may be made upon request.
5.3 Taxes: All prices displayed on the Platform are exclusive of applicable taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise. Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate will be added to your total at checkout. SwaLay will collect and remit GST as required under Indian tax law. You are responsible for any additional taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your local jurisdiction.
5.4 TDS on Royalties: Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) will be applied to royalty payouts in accordance with applicable Indian tax law (currently under Section 194J / 194R of the Income Tax Act, 1961, as applicable). The TDS rate may vary based on your PAN verification status. If PAN is not provided or is invalid, TDS will be deducted at the higher applicable rate. TDS certificates (Form 16A) will be provided as required by law.
6. Refund & Cancellation Policy
6.1 General Policy: SwaLay's services involve digital distribution and processing, which incur third-party costs once initiated. As a result, most fees are non-refundable once the associated service has been commenced or delivered.
6.2 Subscription Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Upon cancellation, your plan benefits will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds will be issued for the remaining period of a cancelled subscription.
6.3 Distribution Fee Refunds: Distribution fees (one-time or per-release) are non-refundable once your Content has been submitted to DSPs for processing. If your release is rejected during SwaLay's internal review (before submission to DSPs), a refund may be issued at SwaLay's discretion.
6.4 Add-On Service Refunds: Refunds for add-on services (such as SwaLay Studio processing, Content ID registration, or caller tune distribution) are available only if the service has not yet been initiated or delivered. Once processing has begun, no refund will be issued.
6.5 How to Request a Refund: To request a refund, email swalay.care@talantoncore.in with your order details, reason for the request, and any supporting documentation. Refund requests will be reviewed within 7–10 business days. Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 10–15 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
7. Royalty Payments & Withdrawals
7.1 Royalty Collection: SwaLay collects royalties from DSPs on your behalf in accordance with the licensing and distribution agreements in place. Royalty amounts are determined by the DSPs based on their respective payment models (per-stream, per-download, ad-revenue share, etc.).
7.2 Revenue Share: SwaLay retains a commission from collected royalties as specified in your active plan. The remaining amount is credited to your SwaLay wallet. Commission rates are detailed on your plan page and in the Royalty Sharing Policy.
7.3 Minimum Payout Threshold: Royalties are eligible for withdrawal only when your wallet balance meets the minimum payout threshold as specified on the Platform (currently INR 500, subject to change). Balances below the threshold will be carried forward to the next payout cycle.
7.4 Payout Schedule: Royalty payouts are processed on a regular schedule as specified on the Platform (typically quarterly). DSPs report and remit royalties on varying timelines, which may result in a delay of 2–4 months between when streams occur and when royalties appear in your wallet.
7.5 Withdrawal Methods: Withdrawals are processed via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS) or UPI to the account linked in your profile. You are responsible for ensuring that your banking details are accurate and up to date. SwaLay is not liable for failed or misdirected payments due to incorrect account information.
7.6 Withholding: SwaLay reserves the right to withhold royalty payments in cases of suspected fraud, policy violations, copyright disputes, Content ID conflicts, or pending investigations. Withheld royalties will be released upon satisfactory resolution of the issue.
7.7 Abandoned Balances: If your account remains inactive for a period of 12 consecutive months and you have an outstanding royalty balance below the minimum payout threshold, SwaLay will attempt to contact you using the email address on file. If we are unable to reach you within 90 days, the balance may be forfeited in accordance with applicable law.
8. Currency & Pricing Changes
All prices on the Platform are denominated in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. For international users, the final amount charged may vary based on the exchange rate applied by your bank or payment provider at the time of the transaction.
SwaLay reserves the right to modify pricing for any plan, add-on, or service at any time. In the event of a price increase:
- Existing subscribers will be notified at least 15 days before the new pricing takes effect.
- The new pricing will apply starting from your next billing cycle after the notice period.
- If you do not agree with the revised pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle without penalty.
Promotional or introductory pricing is valid only for the period specified and will revert to standard pricing upon expiry.
9. Failed Payments & Account Consequences
If a payment fails (due to insufficient funds, expired cards, bank declines, or other reasons), SwaLay will:
- Notify you via email and/or in-app notification of the failed payment.
- Retry the payment up to 2 additional times over the following 7 days.
- If payment remains unsuccessful after retries, your account may be downgraded to the Free Plan, and access to premium features will be suspended.
Content that has already been distributed to DSPs will not be removed solely due to a failed payment. However, new submissions, analytics access, and premium features may be restricted until payment is resolved.
Repeated payment failures or prolonged non-payment may result in account suspension or termination at SwaLay's discretion, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
10. Free Tier & Promotional Offers
SwaLay may offer a Free Plan or promotional offers (including discounts, trial periods, or bonus credits) from time to time. These offers are subject to the following conditions:
- Free and promotional offers are available at SwaLay's sole discretion and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
- Promotional pricing is valid only for the specified period and cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.
- Abuse of promotional offers (including creating multiple accounts to claim the same offer) is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
- Upon expiry of a promotional period, standard pricing will apply automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
SwaLay reserves the right to retroactively revoke benefits obtained through fraudulent or abusive use of promotional offers.
11. SwaLay Studio & Processing Services
SwaLay Studio provides professional audio processing services including mastering, mixing, spatial audio (Dolby™ Atmos) conversion, and other enhancement tools. Studio services are priced separately and are subject to the following terms:
- Pricing for Studio services is displayed on the Platform at the time of use and may vary based on track duration, complexity, or processing type.
- Processed audio output remains your intellectual property. SwaLay does not claim ownership of any processed content.
- Results of audio processing may vary depending on the quality of the source material. SwaLay does not guarantee that processed audio will meet any specific quality standard or be accepted by any particular DSP.
- Studio credits or packages, if purchased, are non-transferable and must be used within the validity period specified at the time of purchase.
SwaLay may update or discontinue Studio features at any time. Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve in-progress projects, but SwaLay does not guarantee data retention beyond the periods specified on the Platform.
12. Label & Enterprise Pricing
For record labels, distributors, and enterprise clients managing large catalogues or multiple artists, SwaLay offers customized pricing arrangements that may include:
- Volume-based discounts on distribution fees.
- Reduced commission rates on royalties.
- Dedicated account management and priority support.
- Custom invoicing and billing arrangements.
- API access for catalogue management and analytics integration.
- White-label or co-branded solutions (subject to separate agreement).

Enterprise agreements may be subject to separate terms and conditions in addition to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
13. Payment Security
SwaLay is committed to ensuring the security of your financial information. Our payment security measures include:
- PCI-DSS Compliance: All payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway partners.
- Encryption: All payment data is transmitted using industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption.
- No Card Storage: SwaLay does not store your full credit/debit card numbers, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials on its servers.
- Fraud Detection: Our payment partners employ real-time fraud detection and prevention systems.
- Two-Factor Authentication: Where supported, additional verification may be required for high-value transactions or withdrawals.
While SwaLay takes all reasonable precautions to protect your payment information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any transactions made through your account.
If you suspect unauthorized activity on your account, contact us immediately at swalay.care@talantoncore.in.
14. Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact SwaLay at swalay.care@talantoncore.in before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. We will investigate and attempt to resolve the issue promptly.
Chargebacks initiated without first contacting SwaLay may result in:
- Immediate suspension of your account pending investigation.
- Removal of distributed Content from DSPs.
- Withholding of any pending royalty payments.
- A chargeback processing fee (as determined by our payment processor) being applied to your account.
SwaLay reserves the right to dispute any chargeback that it believes to be fraudulent or unjustified. If a chargeback is resolved in SwaLay's favor, the original charge will be reinstated and any associated fees will be applied.
Repeated or fraudulent chargebacks will result in permanent account termination.
15. Changes to This Policy
SwaLay reserves the right to update or modify this Pricing & Payment Policy at any time. When we make changes:
- The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
- For material changes (such as price increases or changes to refund terms), we will notify you via email and/or in-app notification at least 15 days in advance.
- Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
If you do not agree with the revised Policy, you must stop using the Platform's paid services and may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about our pricing and payment terms.
